Microphone & voice
Use your normal FiveM / GTA talk key (push-to-talk, N by default) — or voice activation if you set it. One key does everything:
| Where | Who hears you |
|---|---|
| Lobby | No voice in the lobby. |
| Battle Royale (squad), PVP, Loot Zones | Your whole team, wherever they are on the map, plus players near you. |
| Battle Royale (solo), Free For All | Players near you. |
| Social Hub | Players near you. |
INFO
You cannot shoot while your mic is open (talking puts the gun down for a moment). Release the talk key to fight.
Microphone request (voice check)
When you join, a message asks you to press F8 and accept the microphone request. This turns on the voice check: swearing on the mic is punished the same way as swearing in the chat (see Automatic protection).
- Press
F8(the FiveM console opens). - Accept the microphone request for KAYAN.
- Close
F8.
If you refused by mistake, type /mic in the chat to be asked again.
What is checked
- Only what you say while you are talking in game is checked. Nothing is recorded when you are not transmitting.
- The audio is turned into text on KAYAN's own server, checked, and thrown away at once. Audio is never stored.
- Only when a swear is found, that sentence (as text) is sent to the game server and saved with the punishment as evidence. Normal speech leaves no trace.
See the Privacy Policy for details.
Nobody hears me?
- GTA Settings > Voice Chat: voice chat On, the right input device, and your talk mode.
- FiveM Settings > Voice: the same microphone.
- Hold your talk key (default
N) — check that it is not rebound in Settings > Key Bindings. - Still nothing? Open a ticket on the Discord.
